Ura Spirits

Ura Spirits is an artisanal distillery in Biarritz, France. Biarritz is located in the administrative region of Nouvelle-Aquitaine and is also part of the French Basque Country (Pays basque français), a historical and cultural region. The distillery was established in 2019 by Dorian Vincent, who opened it in July of that year and developed its original spirits using low-temperature vacuum distillation.

In June 2025, the distillery business was acquired by Olivier Pézeron and his daughter Laïla Pézeron, an agricultural engineer, who now operate Ura Spirits as a family business. The distillery continues to specialise in vacuum distillation, with botanicals distilled separately at low temperature. Its range includes gin, vodka, aquavit, rum and liqueurs, as well as contract and custom spirit production.

The name Ura means “water” in Basque. The distillery uses mineral water from the Montcalm spring in the Pyrenees for reducing its spirits and works with botanicals sourced largely through certified organic French growers and importers.
