Lobuschkellerei had roots in Hamburg-Altona well before the later GmbH was entered in the commercial register. A 1962 advertisement presents Lobusch Kellerei as a specialist retailer for wines, liqueurs and spirits, with branches at Lobuschstraße 19 in Altona and two addresses in Hamburg-Eimsbüttel.
The later Lobuschkellerei GmbH was registered in Hamburg on 15 March 1983; Bernhard Matthiesen Lobuschkellerei GmbH is recorded as an earlier company name. Its registered activities included the manufacture and trade of spirits as well as wine importing and trading. The commercial-register history also records a control and profit-transfer agreement with BORCO-MARKEN-IMPORT Matthiesen dated 11 December 1981, linking Lobuschkellerei closely with the Hamburg-based BORCO spirits group.
In later years the company operated from Winsbergring in Hamburg and handled a broad range of spirits and private-label products; trade listings document numerous brands and products supplied to retailers including Aldi Süd. BORCO was sold by the Matthiesen family to Stock Spirits in 2023, and Lobuschkellerei GmbH was ultimately deleted from the Hamburg commercial register on 19 September 2025.
