Störtebecker Aquavit was a German aquavit associated with Lobuschkellerei GmbH in Hamburg and bottled at 40% ABV in a 700 ml green glass bottle. The label describes it as a Kümmel-Klarer made with fine herbal distillates and characterizes it as würzig und mild — spicy and mild. It also explains the word aquavit through the Latin aqua vitae (“water of life”) and recommends serving the spirit well chilled.

The product was made according to a Scandinavian-style recipe. Archived Aldi Süd advertising from 2006 and 2007 describes Störtebecker as a mildly spiced caraway spirit with fine herbal distillates, made according to traditional methods.

Störtebecker Aquavit was repeatedly offered by Aldi Süd during the mid-2000s. It appears in an Aldi Süd offer from September 2004 and is again documented in advertisements from 2005, 2006 and 2007, generally at €5.99 for a 700 ml bottle.

The maritime presentation consists of a sailing ship, rope-style borders and the Störtebecker name. The spelling refers to a documented historical variant of the name associated with the North German pirate Klaus Störtebeker, a figure particularly connected in later tradition with Hamburg and the North and Baltic Seas.
