The distillery’s Original Aquavit is produced on a base of their in-house pear vodka, which serves as the foundation for all of their aquavit expressions. The dominant botanical is caraway, consistent with traditional Scandinavian styles. Additional botanicals commonly associated with aquavit – such as cardamom, anise, fennel, or citrus peel-may be present, though the exact recipe is not disclosed.
