Port City Spirits

Port City Spirits is a craft distillery and cocktail lounge in Prince Rupert (Northwest British Columbia), located on Fraser Street in the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest. The project was launched in 2022, received its lounge licence in the summer of 2023, and opened to guests in August.
The distillery focuses on local ingredients: honey from the Bulkley Valley, barley from Peace Region farmers, and wild botanicals and berries sourced from the Great Bear Rainforest and Mount Hays.
In addition to aquavit, they produce gins featuring local botanicals, vodka (including honey-based vodka), liqueurs-elderflower, coffee, and seasonal varieties-as well as honey spirits; their whisky is currently aging.
The interior is designed in a neo-Georgian style, with a signature black façade and brass details. Several rooms of a small hotel, The Distillery Studio, sit above the distillery, making the project a unique destination on the coast.
