Nordbrand Nordhausen GmbH is a major spirits producer based in Nordhausen, Thuringia, Germany. The company continues the long regional tradition of grain distillation, which has been documented in Nordhausen since the early 16th century. The modern company structure dates back to 1948, when it operated as VEB Nordbrand Nordhausen. It became a GmbH after 1990 and has been part of the Rotkäppchen-Mumm group since 2007.

Nordbrand produces a wide range of spirits, including Korn and Doppelkorn made from rye grain, clear spirits, herbal and fruit liqueurs, cream liqueurs and flavored products. The distillery also supplies neutral alcohol and fine distillates for the food, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries. With more than 160 employees and a large national market share, Nordbrand is one of Germany’s largest producers in this category.

Echter Nordhäuser Korn and Echter Nordhäuser Aquavit belong to the company’s traditional product line, reflecting the longstanding identity of Nordhausen as a center of grain-based spirits.
