The history of Gasthaus zur Post goes back to 1725, when the building served as a stopping place for travelers. Over the centuries, the establishment developed into a family business combining gastronomy, hospitality and regional products. Today, it is operated by Jan Frithjof Kramer, who represents the ninth generation of the Kramer family.

Besides Este Aquavit, Gasthaus zur Post offers a range of regional products, including wines, homemade juices and other local specialties. The business focuses on traditional craftsmanship, regional ingredients and products connected to the cultural identity of the Este area.
