Blaue Maus Destillerie
Blaue Maus Destillerie is a small family-run distillery located in Neuses (Eggolsheim), Upper Franconia, Bavaria, Germany, between Bamberg and Nuremberg. The business traces its roots back to 1923, while distillation activities began in 1980 under Robert Fleischmann. The first whisky distillation was carried out on 19 February 1983, and commercial whisky releases followed in 1996.
The distillery is primarily known for German single malt whisky, with a relatively small production scale of around 1,500 liters of alcohol per year. Its location in Franconia provides access to local brewing raw materials, which supports its whisky production. Spirits like Eisgang Aquavit are part of a smaller, experimental segment of the portfolio rather than the main focus.
