Flutbrand Helgoländer-Aquavit

Germany Neuhaus (Oste), Lower Saxony, Germany
Barrel-Aged Aquavit

Flutbrand Helgoländer-Aquavit is a coastal-inspired aquavit crafted to evoke the taste and atmosphere of northern Germany. Designed as a smooth, approachable spirit, it is enjoyed both after a hearty meal and as a maritime companion in between.

The aquavit is marketed under the Flutbrand brand and made from regional ingredients using traditional craftsmanship. After distillation, it matures for 6–8 weeksin red wine casks, which lend it a mild, rounded character without the harsh edge often associated with stronger digestifs. The result is a clear spirit with gentle depth and a soft, balanced finish. Each bottle is hand-filled, carrying a touch of coastal heritage with every pour.

The bottle carries an additional line printed near the bottom of the label:

“Wurde hergestellt für Fitters Sturmflut Wirtschaft und Warenhaus”

This translates to: “Produced for Fitters Sturmflut Restaurant and Trading House”.

This confirms that the aquavit was not produced by Sturmflut Wirtschaft & Warenhaus itself, but rather manufactured by an external producer on their behalf. The actual distillery, however, is not identified anywhere on the visible label. Based on the flavor profile and the maturation method (6–8 weeks in red wine casks at 40% vol.), the product closely matches the specification of Helgoländer Aquavit, known to be produced by Ulex Alt-Neuhaus GmbH in Neuhaus (Oste), Germany.
