Weser Wasser Aquavit is produced by a small family-run company in Bremen and was introduced in August 2021. It is made according to a traditional recipe and follows the style typical of northern German aquavits. Caraway is the central botanical, supported by dill seeds, coriander, fennel and cloves. The herbal mixture is used to create a distillate that is later matured for six to eight weeks in barrique casks that previously held red wine. This short cask period adds light wooden and wine-derived notes and gives the spirit a gentle golden colour.

The aquavit is bottled by hand, and production takes place in relatively small quantities. It is sold mainly in Bremen and nearby areas, both in local shops and in selected bars and restaurants. It is also offered through the producer’s online shop. Weser Wasser can be enjoyed chilled or at room temperature and is suitable for neat consumption or for use in cocktails.
