Brown Bear Aquavit is produced from a traditional Scandinavian-style blend that includes caraway, fennel, and orange peel, along with Northwest-grown hops. The hop varieties contribute balanced floral and citrus characteristics typical of the region.
After distillation, the aquavit is aged in previously used rye whiskey barrels. This maturation adds subtle spicy and fruity notes from the rye, giving the spirit additional depth and complexity.
Brown Bear Aquavit pairs well with rich, full-flavored foods such as steak, lamb, moose, and pork. It can be enjoyed at room temperature or slightly chilled, depending on preference.
