Nordischer Aquavit is produced by Heinrich von Have, the long-established family-run winery & spirits manufacturer from Hamburg, founded in 1868. Unlike many traditional aquavits that emphasize caraway (Kümmel), Nordischer Aquavit is built primarily on a distilled dill-seed base. It is further blended with distillates of caraway, coriander, fennel and citrus peels.

After aging in classic stoneware/earthenware containers, the result is a noticeably milder, smoother and more elegant spirit than typical Kümmel-heavy types.

In 2014 the spirit was named by the magazine “BEEF! – Für Männer mit Geschmack” as one of the best in its class — described as a “Shining Star” in the aquavit sky.
