Krugmann Aquavit
Meinerzhagen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany
Krugmann Aquavit comes from Sauerland, a region in the German federal state of North Rhine-Westphalia (Nordrhein-Westfalen), and is built on classic distilling tradition.
It is a 40% ABV herbal spirit produced by Krugmann Markenspirituosen GmbH & Co. KG. The base profile is defined by a strong yet balanced caraway character, supported by dill, fennel, coriander, and anise.
The distillate follows traditional craft methods and established principles of spirit production, focusing on balance and purity rather than excess complexity. After distillation, the aquavit is aged in selected oak barrels, where it develops its smooth texture and pale golden color.
The result is a notably mild aquavit with a clean herbal structure and soft spice profile. Caraway remains central, while supporting botanicals add depth without overpowering the base spirit.

Krugmann Markenspirituosen GmbH & Co. KG
Meinerzhagen, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany
Dreiling Aqua Vitae is marketed by Krugmann Markenspirituosen GmbH & Co. KG, but production is associated with the Kreuzritter spirits project in Mühlen (Oldenburger Münsterland). Kreuzritter was founded in 2004 as a collaboration between a physician, a nutrition scientist, and a spirits specialist, with the aim of creating small-batch premium distillates using complex botanical recipes and high-quality aged base spirits.
The company is known for using multi-grain distillates aged in fine oak barrels, extensive botanical formulations, and a production model oriented toward limited-batch premium spirits.
The distillery operates in the village of Mühlen and produces a range of specialty spirits under the Kreuzritter brand, while Krugmann serves as the distributor.
