G. Vetter Feiner Aquavit was a German aquavit produced by G. Vetter in Wunsiedel, Bavaria, and bottled at 38% ABV. Its historical label describes the spirit as “nach einem alten Rezept aus Danzig” — made according to an old recipe from Danzig, the German name for present-day Gdańsk in Poland. The label reinforces this connection with a stylized panorama of the historic city.

The official product wording on the surviving labels is simply Feiner Aquavit. The producer is identified underneath as G. Vetter · Wunsiedel, while several versions also carry the designation “Deutsches Erzeugnis”, explicitly identifying the finished product as German. The spirit itself is clear and colourless.

Several historical presentations of the aquavit are documented. They include rounded and rectangular miniature bottles, different arrangements of the label text and slightly different renderings of the Danzig skyline. Some bottles state a volume of 40 ml, while a specialist miniature-bottle catalogue also records a 20 ml version. Despite these packaging differences, the documented examples retain the same 38% strength and G. Vetter attribution.

The Danzig reference was not unique within the producer’s range. G. Vetter also marketed a separate Danziger Goldwasser, which is independently documented in both miniature collections and a surviving 0.7-litre bottling. The Goldwasser and Feiner Aquavit were distinct products, but their existence shows that Danzig-associated spirits formed a recognizable part of Vetter’s historical portfolio.
