Aufbruch Aquavit
Hesse, Germany
Aufbruch Aquavit is a limited-edition, concept-driven spirit released by Kockel & Bamberger, a project initiated by Jasper Bamberger and Nikolaus Kockel. The bottling was produced in 500 ml bottles at 32% vol. and distributed directly via personal orders rather than through conventional retail channels. Despite its name, the alcohol strength falls below the EU minimum required for aquavit.
The spirit was matured at sea and released in small quantities as part of an experimental, art-oriented project. The label was designed by contemporary artist Manfred Stumpf. No distillery, legal producer, or specific place of production is stated. Aufbruch Aquavit should therefore be understood as an experimental, concept-based bottling rather than a commercial aquavit brand.
