Ebbe & Flut der klare Aquavit
Eckernförde, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany
Ebbe & Flut der klare Aquavit is a German aquavit produced by Waldemar Behn GmbH in Eckernförde, Schleswig-Holstein.
Bottled at 38% ABV, it was sold in a 500 ml bottle and is described in one surviving retail listing as a limited release.
Ebbe & Flut was part of this regional side of the company’s spirits portfolio. The name itself – “Ebbe & Flut” (“Ebb & Flow”) — evokes the maritime character of Germany’s northern coast.
Today, the Ebbe & Flut name can also be found on spirits from Störtebeker Brennerei on the island of Rügen, including the barrel-aged Ebbe & Flut Aquavit. This is a separate product from the earlier Ebbe & Flut der klare Aquavit produced by Waldemar Behn GmbH.
